i've been hacking on serial driver stuff, trying to squish bugs,
and figger out why my SLIP connection is non-optimal...

specifically, the slattach doesn't die when carrier drops.

is this "appropriate" behavior?  i'd think not...

if not, the solution would be to set slattach's controlling terminal
to be the tty that SLIP is running over.  objections to this?

comments?  ridicule?  8-)
