I believe I have corrected that problem. I have determined that the kernel is in fact not recognizing the VESA Local BUS IDE controller (DC-680). I am not sure if the problem is with the local bus or if the controller being newer than the release of 386BSD is just not supported. Has anyone else had any success with local bus devices? Also, if someone could recommend a few sources of information about the workings of IDE it would be greatly appreciated. Brian R. Toonen toonen@mcs.anl.gov
