Keywords: BUG SCREEN RESOURCES Message-ID: <C142Mu.E69@news.chalmers.se> Date: 19 Jan 93 17:16:06 GMT Sender: news@news.chalmers.se Organization: Chalmers Computer Society Lines: 19 Nntp-Posting-Host: sponsz.cd.chalmers.se I was fiddling with the limitations under tcsh with "limit" when I noticed that if you did a: limit openfiles unlimited and then tried to "exec screen" the machine would hang. However, pressing CTRL-C made it log out and it was ok to re-login. Limits with 128 or 256 openfiles seemed to be working too, but I think I got an error message at least once saying there was no /var/run/utmp. Have I missed a patch or is this a new bug? pao -- Andrew Olausson Chalmers University of Technology Sweden
