Date: 19 Jan 1993 20:01:56 GMT Organization: Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH (USA) Lines: 23 Message-ID: <1jhmnkINNl5v@usenet.INS.CWRU.Edu> Reply-To: au141@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Amber M. Spillers) NNTP-Posting-Host: hela.ins.cwru.edu correct me if I am wrong butthe line #! /bin/sh at the beginning of a shell script (the first line) is suposed to invoke the SH shell and execute the script under it right? well for me it does not seem to do that. I am using csh or bash ot ksh and it refuses to invoke the correct shell to execute my scripts. :( this is PARTICULARLY importaint to me because I am trying to get cnews to work which is really more of a collection of scripts than C programs.... feel free to E-mail or post in response. -- "Stay Sane Inside Insanity" -- The Rocky Horror Picture Show sysop of the Rocky Horror Picture Show BBS 1-618-529-5999 24Hrs USR Dual Standard ** programming support ** NON-Etherealized
