Marc -

  From a helpful note I got from root@snowhite.cis.uoguelph.ca (someone
 who signed the note "rick") - and from the mountd man page, you need to
 use:
  

       mountd -n

 in your /etc/rc file when starting mountd.   The -n tells mountd to
 accept non-root mounts (which is what PCNFS uses.)
