However, the directory > is empty and ls shows nothing. Right, I haven't tried this, but it sounds like the same as with SunOS... You have to "re-export" the /cdrom directory, after mounting it. On 386BSD I think you do this my sending a HUP signal to the mountd proess. This causes mountd to reread the /etc/exports file.
