I've JUST installed the executables for XFree for 386BSD. Now, I can't
get startx to talk to my card. It's called a VGA Mentor(that's on the
box cover) with 1Meg ram and a 32K color option based on the Tseng
ET4000 chip. In the manual it's either a VGA 4000 9406 or a VGA 4000
9408. I've gone through the man pages and the modeDB.notes (or some
such) and haven't gotten anything bug gibberish on the screen. My
monitor is a multiscan and is interlaced at 1024X768. I'm trying to run
800X600.

Any help will be accepted with profuse thanks!

Mark
