i tried to post a 3rd CFV and mass vote ack the other day, but apparently
uunet has been hosed (disk crash, or something like that, says
Dave Lawrence) and so the post has not gotten out...

i'll post the vote ack again, to comp.unix.bsd and news.groups,
so that people can make sure their votes got in.
