Hi, I'm using 386BSD on my 386DX/25 and I'm trying to get the modem
Originator: cobb@krazykat.engin.umich.edu

working. The modem works under dos and I got tip to work with it on my DECstation at work, so the modem is ok and I think that the /etc/remote file is
ok. I did it the same as on my DECstation. Here is how the /etc/remote file is
set up:

dial9600|9600 Baud attributes:\
        :dv=/dev/ttyd0:br#9600:at=telebit:du:

UNIX-9600|9600 Baud dial-out to another UNIX system:\
        :el=^U^C^R^O^D^S^Q@:ie=#%$:oe=^D:pn=xxxxxxx:tc=dial9600:

where xxxxxxx is the phone number. I execute the command: tip UNIX-9600

It gives me the following error:

lock open: No such file or directory
all ports busy

It also gives me this same error when I try: cu xxxxxxx -s 9600 -l /dev/com2

It doesn't seem to want to get to the port. I know the port works because I can
copy directly to it and get the modem to respond. Any help would be appreciated.
