Have your ever heard of an option?
Let make this VERY clear: There are many hardware manufacturers who
love to keep their hardware/software interfaces secret and will only release
the specs if you are nice and sign a NDA. If you think this is going
to change in the near future dream on :-)

We, in the 386BSD community, who have had to deal with the propieratory
interfaces, has not be fun at all. In fact, it has been a waste of
our time. Our talents, in my opinion, could have been spent doing
productive work as opposed to long and many times frustating talks
with hardaware manufacturers.

So for the folks who have common sense, lets just do it.
