lp[46] : cannot create....

I isn't this caused by the line printer deamon trying to start
and print to the Device Special File /dev/lp. Check your /etc/printcap
file for a printer that uses tha Special file to print.
  Create a new printcap entry or mknod the correct special file
Look in the manuals.....
