In particular: Just at a quick glance, I think I know the problem. There was a fix in the patchkit that fixed broken access modes (#26) but I didn't get the same fix in for NFS file-systems. Until it gets made into a patch, look for a similar fix in nfs_vnops.c as was put in ufs_vnops.c by patch 26.
