Some jokers started using it for cracking. I was waiting for it to happen of course. the guest account now has a passwd of guest (not really a problem, but it allows some of my scripts to work better) If you have an account on ref, try it out. If your passwd has been changed, then either someone has taken it or I have changed it because people were using it. In either case let me know. If you don't claim your accounts and I have changed the passwd on them, or have reason to believe that the original owner is not the present user, I will delete the account. If you have been a consistent user you need not worry, however please do check your account, and maybe change the passwd. PARTICULARLY change the passwd if the word you used before was in the dictionary or is one of the standard 'easy' passwds (e.g. your name backwards orr your initials with dots between them) On another topic. My employment with TFS will come to a close in 6 weeks and I will be returning to Australia. While there are several 386BSD users in TFS, it is probable that ref will be re-absorbed into the pool of PCs. It is presently under my control but when I go....... If you have a good machine actually on the internet, and would volunteer to run a similar service, let me know and I can help you set it up.. julian +----------------------------------+ ______ _ __ | __--_|\ Julian Elischer | \ U \/ / On assignment | / \ julian@tfs.com +------>x USA \ in a very strange | ( OZ ) 2118 Milvia st.
