EEK!  i don't understand this at all;
the diffs which i provided install _WITH NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER_
if you're running w/a source tree patched by the patchkit-0.2...

therefore, the thought "unsupported configuration" comes to mind... 8-)

if you'd like to see what the output of "patch -p < diffs" should look
like, ask; i've got a copy (just tried it), and there are no "failed"
lines any place...
