I was using an older version of the same driver but I think the disabled probing helped. I decided to start with a stock conf.c and add my mouse driver AFTER the lpt entry. Maybe the null entry /*E*/ helped?? Anyways, my kernel has no scsi, no NFS, and no ethernet and the printer is io 378 irq 7, and a logitech busmouse driver on irq 2. Anyone wanting such a naked creature (for its mouse and printer of course) can mail me and I'd be happy to put it in somebody's incoming for a few days. Thanks Andrew :)!!
