Anyone seen this before:

This occured while using rdump to back up a filesystem to another machine
on the network. It was on a kernel with the 0.1 patchkit installed (pl58).
The system is a 486 with 20mb of ram, 20mb of swap, ide drives, and a
Western Digital ethernet board. This isn't the first time I've seen this
problem. Perhaps it's fixed in the 0.2 patchkit. Time will tell.
