Summary: To port or not to port, that is the question... Keywords: postgres DBMS, Picasso Interface Toolkit, porting Message-ID: <C1y0EA.9vx@acsu.buffalo.edu> Date: 4 Feb 93 21:15:45 GMT Sender: nntp@acsu.buffalo.edu Organization: UB Lines: 24 Nntp-Posting-Host: lictor.acsu.buffalo.edu I have been considering tackling Postgres and Picasso ports to 386bsd, but wanted to first ask if anyone has already done this, has tried unsuccessfully, or thinks there is a better solution to database needs. Please e-mail me suggestions for a different database to port if you wish, and if I get enoguh response, I'll do that instead of postgres. Please include in your message what the system you suggest offers in comparison to others. If you have already ported a DBMS, please let me know and I'll summarize. (Also let me know where source or binaries can be located :D) Jeffrey Simon -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jeffrey M.
