No response so far, so i did this. It was pretty easy and now the system boots using the "old" converted bootblocks and Julian's new SCSI-driver with both the 1542 and the 1742 subsystem. Due to the lack of a 1742 tech ref manual (just have a 1542 one ..) it's not quite ready for public release, when i eventually get it, i'll finish and post this stuff - if someone is interested before, see signature ... And - this driver is fast, i can't believe it !
