Anybody know how to set soft carrier on the com ports?.  I assume you
must change the device line in the Kernel configuration file.  Excuse if
this is a FAQ.

I know there is a version of getty that allows two way access to the com
ports, which is best.  And what are the features?  Maybe something akin to
stty -CLOCAL as on SysV?
