Hi, this group is great. Thanks!!!
Not only did no one flame me, i got 2 ftp sites answer,

As usual, here is the summary.

If you lost your 1542B adaptec manuals, here are
the location:

-------------------
>From burgess@hrd769.brooks.af.mil Wed Feb 10 05:51:24 1993

FTP hrd769.brooks.af.mil and you can get the entire 1542 manual.
--------------------
>From Stefan Grefen ( grefen@convex.com	)

try ftp.uu.net in vendor/adaptec it should be 1542B_jumpers.Z.
--------------------
>From julian@tfs.COM Wed Feb 10 15:11:13 1993

There should be no jumper changes to run a cdrom off the 1542b
under 386bsd, if however
you have no external devices, only internal devices,
and the cdrom will be external, then you will have to remove the
termination resistors.
