Hi *,

In the midst of getting Bruce Evans latest patches to npx, I was also
recompiling the kernel with gcc-2.3.3 as well. So, after getting the
latest patches for npx as well as the patches to compile the kernel with
gcc-2.3.3 posted recently, I decided to give the new kernel a try.

It failed to boot. It just sat for a short time, with the fd0a drive
light and the HD drive light on, and then rebooted - endless reboot
cycle syndrome.

I didn't receive any errors or missing things when I recompiled, but I
did notice quite a few additional warnings when recompiling the kernel
that I didn't see before, and some of them didn't look good. I wonder
if this is causing a problem. I did not remember to save all these
errors in a make-log, but perhaps I will go through another recompile to
get something that I can post/email for others to look at.

Also, I noticed in the patches posted here there was a patch for crt0.c
in libc. Do I need this in order to recompile the kernel successfully?
I haven't gotten that far in obtaining sources and don't have enough
disk space to hold all of it while looking for that part, so if this is
crucial, could someone send me a new libc?

Has anyone experienced this endless reboot cycle when just recompiling
the kernel with gcc-2.3.3 before?
