CGD's COM DRIVER PROBLEM? Message-ID: <kolar.729477772@spot.Colorado.EDU> Summary: Need help installing com drivers Keywords: com driver, modems, patches Sender: news@ucsu.Colorado.EDU (USENET News System) Nntp-Posting-Host: spot.colorado.edu Organization: University of Colorado, Boulder Date: Fri, 12 Feb 1993 00:42:52 GMT Lines: 11 Hi, I am trying to setup a US Robotics 9600 baud modem (Sportster 9600) and am running into problems. I have the driver of cgd's installed, and the 0.2 patchkit installed. The documentation and sample config file that were part of the com driver assumed a multi-port card, which I do not use. If anyone that has a working com1 and com2 for modems, please email me the needed changes to /etc/rc.local, /sys/i386/conf/CONFIG, /etc/gettytab, and /etc/ttys, as well as the mknod commands to build the devices? I would greatly appreciate the assistance! Thanks in advance... -J
