PLEASE! Date: 12 Feb 1993 22:24:46 GMT Organization: Computing Services Division, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Lines: 27 Distribution: world Message-ID: <1lh83eINN4eg@uwm.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: 129.89.7.4 Originator: albion@csd4.csd.uwm.edu I am kinda new to this, not unix, but PC unix. I hear the 386bsd is much better then Linux and would like to install it, but before I do I would like to ask some questions. 1) I have 2 hard drives. A WD 210 meg IDE, and a Conner 120meg IDE. The installation notes do not explain how to install 386bsd on a D: drive. Or on a C: drive with a dos partision on D:. Is there a way to do this? I really can't install it without doing the 2 drive thing. 2) Is there any support out there for QIC-40 yet? 3) Is there any support for COM ports above 2? I have an internal modem on com4 with the other 2 comm ports being used for a second modem and a mouse. 4) Is there anyplace I can send to, to get the full distribution without having to down load it all? That is a heck of alot of stuff to down load at 14.4. Thanx for all your help that will come, I hope. :) Albion P.S. Has anyone here tried to install LPMud on 386bsd? Just wondering, please no flames for this.
