There are some areas in machdep.c, as well as some other places, like segments.h, that need to be patched. Someone (it may have been Bruce Evans or ljo) sent me some patches to deal with the problem. After these patches are applied, the kernel starts to boot, but still hangs in the npx probe part. I am going to try another hack to the new npx.c code to see if I can get the kernel to fully boot up and hopefully work tomorrow, I hope. >Matt Curfman Almanac Information Archivist >matt@gecko.oes.orst.edu Oregon State University Extension -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ in real life: david fox email: dfox@quack.sac.ca.us 5479 Castle Manor Drive, San Jose, CA 95129 "Thanks for letting me change some USA magnetic patterns on your HD" -me 408-253-7992 "You've just won an absolutely FREE trip to the Isles of Langerhans" -me ------------------------------------------------------------------------
