Troll) Newsgroups: comp.unix.bsd Subject: 386BSD Memory Problem Message-ID: <sfTOcWG00Vk789I08A@andrew.cmu.edu> Date: 14 Feb 93 02:10:42 GMT Organization: University Libraries - Library Automatio, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 19 I just downloaded the tinyBSD 1.0 boot disk, and tried use it. Everything started up correctly (COM ports detected, hard drive detected, video detected). As I was reading through the installation notes file, I suddenly got the error message : memory fault and could no longer type anything. I tried rebooting a few times, and always have the same problem. Has anybody else seen this error before? I have a 386DX/33, with 8M of 70ns RAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Ryan Troll Systems Manager, Library Automation Carnegie Mellon University
