Date: 15 Feb 1993 21:07:11 UTC Lines: 27 Hi *, I'm proud to announce I have a working (hopefully, at least it booted up) kernel compiled with gcc-2.3.3! However, there were a few warnings that don't seem right. In particular there was a 'comparison is always 1 because of limited range of datatype" on line 412 of /sys/i386/isa/wd.c. This might need looking into - it's in the bad block stuff. Also this same warning came up somewhere in Hellmuth Michaelis's pcvt-2.0 package, somewhere deep in pcvt-kbd.c. I don't recall the exact line number. There were also a few static/non-static function conflicts (I gathered that from the warning text) also in wd.c and some other places, and quite a few "structure defined inside parms" warnings in many places. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ in real life: david fox email: dfox@quack.sac.ca.us 5479 Castle Manor Drive, San Jose, CA 95129 "Thanks for letting me change some USA magnetic patterns on your HD" -me 408-253-7992 "You've just won an absolutely FREE trip to the Isles of Langerhans" -me ------------------------------------------------------------------------
