Date: 17 Feb 1993 10:59:31 -0600 Organization: Armstrong Lab MIS, Brooks AFB TX Lines: 25 Message-ID: <1ltqtjINNeo7@hrd769.brooks.af.mil> NNTP-Posting-Host: hrd769.brooks.af.mil I have been playing around with the pascal sources found in /pub/public_domain_software/bsd-sources/usr.bin/pascal@jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu and have been getting a lot of errors. Many are solvable locally, but others require more experience than I can supply. This appears to be a very old version of pascal, but should be reasonably portable. I have defined a set of 'i386' device dependencies, and they seem to be working (sort of). My three unanswered questions are below: 1: What is /usr/libexec/pascal/eyacc? Can straight yacc (or bison) be used instead? 2: The 'ex' scripts supplied with the Makefile do not interact correctly with elvis when linked to 'ex'. Can anyone offer a historical perspective on what some of the differences might be? I am completely lost with 'ex', so I may require a little 'hand-holding'. 3: Has anyone ported pascal (this or a newer version) to 386bsd? If so, I would really love a pointer to an FTP site. -- ------ TSgt Dave Burgess NCOIC AL/Management Information Systems Office Brooks AFB, TX
