Hello,
I have an 80Mb MFM drive which I am trying to install 386BSD onto.
The problem is, it has lots of bad blocks (200K bytes). I don't
suppose anyone out there could give me the EXACT commands to use
for "disklabel", "bad144", and "newfs"?? Once I get this far, I
should be able to install by hand.
Assumptions:
* ISA BUS
* 80Mb MFM drive (drive 0, "C" in DOS terminology)
* 8Mb memory
* I have both the "Tiny 386BSD" and the "Fixit" floppy - I can
get SOME response out of running the commands from the "fixit"
disk, but not enough to install.
386BSD may prove, for me, a superior alternative to Linux since I
primarily want tcp/ip and X. Hard to tell without running it
though...
Help!
