I have a couple of basic questions that I didn't see covered in the FAQ. What is the best way to shut the system down? I looked through the man pages, but it's still a little fuzzy to me as to exactly what I need to do before I hit the power switch (or press Reset or Ctrl-Alt-Del). Is there some basic Unix system administration info available for ftp somewhere relevant to 386bsd? I spent a couple of years in DOS, and got pretty good at it (not saying much, I know). I'm ready now I think to make the move to something bigger and better, but it's a weird feeling, not knowing the basic ins-an-outs of the system. Tomorrow I'm going to search for a book, but some online stuff would be a great help. Please forgive the ignorance of this question, but is there a way someone could dialin to my computer through my 2400 baud modem, login and use the system? Are there special drivers I must get? I don't have the disk space to recompile the kernel, if that's required. Thank you very much. Erick.
