Message-ID: <CHRISTIA.93Feb19092705@latenite.ssc.gov> Sender: usenet@sunova.ssc.gov (News Admin) Nntp-Posting-Host: latenite.ssc.gov Organization: SSC Laboratory, Dallas, TX Date: Fri, 19 Feb 1993 15:27:05 GMT Lines: 35 Hi. I'm having trouble with the compiled kernels on agate. I'm using the kernel with the advanced console. I know that these use Julian's scsi drivers. My machine hangs during the scsi probe. Generally, the machine seems boot ok until the aha controller is detected. And if it matters, the machine also has a wd controller in place, but the BIOS is set to "drive c: not present" when booting under bsd. The messages on the console are: wd0 0:<wdgetctrl failed, assuming ok> 1:<wdgetctrl failed, assuming ok> at 0x01f0 irq 14 on isa. aha0 reading board settings 150 nsec ok, use 200 nsec ** aha probing for scsi devices and here it hangs with the access light on the first scsi drive active. Any suggestions? mike. -- ---------------------- Mike Christiansen Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory Controls Group 2550 Beckleymeade Ave. MS.4002 Dallas, TX. 75237 214-708-3415 christia@latenite.ssc.gov
