I've been trying to get ephem (an astro program with heavy math usage) to compile and run properly. Others have managed to do it in different ways, but I can't get it completely correct. Would someone (or a group of people) please post (or mail me) a definitive list of patches, or mods for the following (please don't tell me it was discussed a while back, or see someones article as I have about five numbers and bit of pieces which are allegedly correct): /usr/include/float.h /usr/include/math.h mathlib-2.1 gcc-2.3.3 I want to be able to recompile libc.a (for atof) and not get signal 6's, I need definitive values for DBL_MAX, HUGEVAL, etc... If you can help me with this puzzle/frustration please let me know. Thanks as well. Greg (greg@coombs.anu.edu.au)
