(grin) I agree about the one-pass install kit idea. If it simply consisted of new binaries in cpio (or other) format, containing naturally all executables affected (fixed) via the patchkit, this would be useful in situations like mine where there isn't enough disk space to hold all the source code to apply all the patches. Having someplace where one can pick up patched kernel source (as opposed to binaries) may be useful too. I know I can pick up a patched kernel from numerous sites, but I have other things in my kernel (pcvt, pcfs, bidir com driver, printer driver, etc.) that I'm using. I'm finding all this patching somewhat confusing. :( >Peter da Silva. <peter@sugar.neosoft.com>. > `-_-' Oletko halannut suttasi tänään? > 'U` >Tarjoilija, tämä ateria elää vielä. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ in real life: david fox email: dfox@quack.sac.ca.us 5479 Castle Manor Drive, San Jose, CA 95129 "Thanks for letting me change some USA magnetic patterns on your HD" -me 408-253-7992 "You've just won an absolutely FREE trip to the Isles of Langerhans" -me ------------------------------------------------------------------------
