Message-ID: <1m9r15INN9m9@shelley.u.washington.edu> Date: 22 Feb 93 06:15:01 GMT Article-I.D.: shelley.1m9r15INN9m9 Organization: University of Washington, Seattle Lines: 14 NNTP-Posting-Host: stein.u.washington.edu Hello. When dialing in to another Unix machine, what terminal should I tell it I'm using? I'm working with "pc" right now, but it doesn't seem to get everything quite right. I'm using C-Kermit, if that makes any difference. I tried looking at the /etc/termcap file on the host, but I'm not good enough (yet :) to tell from that exactly which terminal I should use. The host I'm dialing into doesn't know "pc3", which is what my TERM variable tells me I'm using. Thanks, Erick.
