Needs Cabletron Ethernet support! A crucial consideration is that it support the Ethernet card that I currently have (a Cabletron E1040, I believe; 8-bit with fiber- optic interface). I was planning on installing 386bsd, as from what I've read here and elsewhere it appears to be a more stable and compatible unix than linux. More complete as well. However, I have encountered difficulty in that the Tiny 386bsd installation floppy does not support my card. Is there a driver available for 386bsd that will work with my card? I have no problem with performing the installation manually, partitioning the drive myself. If there is not a driver currently available, could anyone tell me how well linux works with this card? I have heard from people with the same card that it works, but crashes occasionally. I realize this second question is more suited to comp.os.linux, but there are a fair number of linux posts here so...
