I'm frankly not quite sure if PS/2 mice do or not. >The dell has a mini din plug for its factory-shipped mouse (says >microsoft on it) but Dell tells me it is a PS/2 mouse. XFree86 supports the protocol used by the PS/2 mouse, but you'll need a kernel driver for the port it uses. I have no direct experience with a PS/2 mouse, but the code in XFree86 implies it has 3 buttons. >I tried using the switch and changing Xconfig to logitech (and twiddling >the various parameters in Xconfig) without luck. So, it is back to >microsoft mode... :| Did you try MouseSystems instead of Logitech in the Xconfig? Works for me with a cheap dual-mode mouse.
