He says very plainly, just _3_ lines above where you "innocently" ask him, that he's interested in writing _kernel_ code. Get it yet? "Again the question:" -- well, once again, you should already have known the answer. Look, you may have some good ideas, but will you stop assuming we're all stupid, while you're Mr. Programming God Man? I think it's a pretty fair statement that _everyone_ posting to this thread is interested in writing kernel code; that's what the thread is about. Moreover, we've all been _discussing_ writing kernel code, so will you stop acting like a kindergarten teacher and telling us, "Well, you're probably just an applications programmer {unlike me, Mr. Kernel Hacker God Man}, so this doesn't concern you -- go play in the sandbox!"
