     Hello,

I rebuilt my kernel as per the "Idiots Guide to Building a New Kernel"
and everything was fine. Then I copied the /386bsd* to /386bsd.old
and was copying the new 386bsd* to / when everything hung! When I
tried to reboot messages kept scrolling by about:
File not found - didn't load 386bsd will try 386bsd.alt
File not found - didn't load 386bsd.alt will try 386bsd.old
File not found - didn't load 386bsd.old will try vmunix
File not found - didn't load vmunix will try 386bsd
Not an executable format - didn't load 386bsd will try 386bsd.alt
     ...
I find this strange, because as I said I copied /386bsd* to
/386bsd.old. Oh well, my worst nightmare has happened, please help
     what should I do?

     Thanks,

     Mike
