I'd like to run 386BSD on a 486/66 EISA with DTC 3290 EISA SCSI Caching Controller, which has a 1542A compatibility mode. Until I get the data- books on the 3290 and write myself a driver, I need to boot in compat mode. When booting the agate:/pub/386BSD/386bsd-0.1/bootable/dist.fs, I get the same error as above. So, where do I go to get the patchkit bootables with updated bootblocks? I downloaded the patched dist.fs from agate:/.../unofficial/, but it only gets as far as the copyright. Can anyone point me to a solution? I suspect that I can boot from the old disk, mount the patched dist.fs, and copy its kernel over the old one, but I can't do it until I get my second floppy. -Brad 'Desperately seeking SCSI' Grantham -- 486/50DX 21 spec, 16M/877M SCSI, 1280x1024x256 17", 2.88M floppy, ether $4300 Dec 3100 23 spec, 16M/430M SCSI, 1024x768x256 17", 2.88M floppy, ether $9000 Brad Grantham ------ grantham@csugrad.cs.vt.edu ----- Va Tech ACM Grand Duke.
