However, since I have got to convert all my TeX jobs into graphics there are quite often really big files and it's really no fun watching them printed out line by line so slowly that you won't believe it. Is there anybody out there who has managed to achieve reasonable performance even with printing binary data? I tried to connect the printer via rs-232, but that didn't help much, too. The line printer daemon insists on setting the line to seven bits with parity (cs7 parodd), and I've tried everything I could think of to get 8 bits transmitted, but without success. Either I'm too stupid :-( or my computer doesn't like me anymore ;-) or I am missing something quite important. I'd appreciate every hint or comment on this topic. ///////////////////////// | Olaf Wagner | wagner@luthien.in-berlin.de (private) | | Hobrechtstrasse 80 | owagner@cs.tu-berlin.de (work) | | 1000 Berlin 44 | phone: 49 30 624 99 48 | | Germany / Deutschland | please don't call before 9 o'clock | /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
