I have a Adaptec 1542B SCSI controller, and I going to buy a Micropolis 1.4GB disk. My question is: is the Buslogic BT542A compatible with the Adaptec 1542B controller? I have heard that ths BusLogic controller is considerably faster (supports "fast-SCSI-II", could anyone explain more about what that really is?). If someone can confirm that 386BSD works well with the BusLogic controller, I will switch to that controller to get better disk performance. Thanks for any answer! email: jot@ifi.unit.no -jo -- Jo Torsmyr Department of Computer Science College of Arts and Sciences University of Trondheim, Norway FAX: +47 7 59 17 33
