Please do not post incorrect information such as this. The facts are: 1. XFree86 1.2 does not have support for S3 and 8514 2. There is no version of XFree86 available that has this support. 3. There is a group of people (including Jon) working on adding this support to a future version of XFree86 (2.0), and this work is being done with the XFree86 core team. 4. This work will not be available to the public until XFree86 2.0 is released. It is still early days, and there is no projected release date yet. >Regards, > Amancio David -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ David Dawes <dawes@physics.su.oz.au> DoD#210 | Phone: +61 2 692 2639 School of Physics, University of Sydney, Australia | Fax: +61 2 660 2903 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was so satisfied, deep down inside, like a hand in a velvet glove -- AC/DC ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
