Sony has been kind enough to furnish "tcpdump" with its BSD News-OS.
But they have obviously not tested it:

hsc# tcpdump
/dev/bpf0: No such file or directory

The system comes from a standard Sony installation. Is there anything
particular I can do do have this device created and operationnal ?

The machine in a laptop in the 1200 series.
