Well, it would be more than a trifle odd if it didn't, since it's a high
performance full-SCSI controller. The point I'm getting at is that the
old, slow, MFM *interface* defined up to 4 drives per controller, and ESDI
seven, but none of the PC manufacturers bothered to implement this (despite
the fact that all they had to do was add two more active control lines to
the cable!)...
