I am trying to set up sendmail on a pc running 386bsd, with mixed
results. every time I send mail I get this error message:

Cannot open database: /etc/aliases.db. Invalid argument.

now, I have edited sendmail.cf so it should be looking for
an aliases file named /etc/aliases (which does exist; I
put it there myself). when this message first came up, I
cp'ed it to /etc/aliases.db, with no result. what gives?
