I'm having a problem with connecting serial devices to com1 and com2 on
my 386bsd machine. I have the newest com.c installed (3 patches installed) which
I got from ref.tfs.com. The devices are both set at 9600 baud. When my serial
device sends relatively large amounts of information (i.e. a hex dump) I lose data.
It acts like the flow control is disabled. The serial devices use xon and xoff correctly.
I have verifed the ports are set with ixoff enabled. Toggling the ixoff switch make
no difference. Is there a problem with the com.c or am I doing something wrong. I would
appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this problem. By the way I am using
a serial cable with pins 1 2 3 4 5 and 7 connected. I have also done experiments with
hardware flow control and I can't get that to work either.

Thanks in advance.
