Date: 10 Mar 1993 09:45:41 GMT Organization: University of Michigan Engineering, Ann Arbor Lines: 11 Distribution: world Message-ID: <1nkdc5INNdt8@srvr1.engin.umich.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: waldorf.engin.umich.edu Originator: scottl@waldorf.engin.umich.edu I know that XFree86 won't run on a Diamond Speedstar 24X because of the proprietary clock interface, but suppose I was able to wrench this info from Diamond (under non-disclosure, of course). Would it be possible to run XFree86 then? The card uses the new WD90C31 chip. I'd be happy to get it running, even if it didn't use the accelerated features of the chip (like the Tseng patches). Any comments would be greatly appreciated! -sl
