Hi,
From Terry Lambert 386Bsd.FAQ, it is stated that, Christoph Robitschko
managed to hack the file /sys/i386/isa/wd.c to make 386BSD support >= 2
HDD.

However, I would like to know in more specific, what are the brands of
such HD controller that are proved to be supported by 386BSD. Also, do they
support combination of ESDI, RLL, MFM etc drives. Note , I do not want SCSI.

Also, according to Christoph, there is a driver written by Tom Ivar Helbekkno
that can support more than one WD HD controller on a normal AT bus machine.
I wonder, is there any othere such similar drivers for other brands of HDD,
say Conner ?

How about for IDE HDD, has anyone ever hacked up a driver for supporting more
than 2 IDE HD controller , and supported by 386BSD?

In summary, I want 386BSD to be able to support >= 2 HDD (IDE prefered), I
wonder has anyone ever done this before ?

Many thanks in advance, and special thanks to Christoph for his reply regadingthe WD controller driver information.

I will make a summary of all the info I got, including previous posting
regarding the book "386BSD from the inside-out" to the net, once I got hold
of sufficient and useful information. Or perhaps I will add it to Terry's
FAQ.
