Yes, see /contrib/XFree86/README on export.lcs.mit.edu for more info.

   are their V8 cards using 14x11 monitors (1200x1000 resolution).  We
   would REALLY like to use these with X if possibly.  Any one worked with
   them?  Anyone written a driver for them for a different OS?

The XFree86 doesn't support Microfield but we will begin to review
their hardware soon.  Their chipsets are custom so it is unlikely
that they will work with the XFree86 server.  Rich
