Remove the directories you made.  Those will be FILES made by sendmail
eventually.

You might also wish to edit the /etc/sendmail.cf file to reflect your
hostname.

Then, as root, type:
	sendmail -bz

This will create /etc/sendmail.fc (frozen config file)
