Message-ID: <1993Mar22.234243.16541@sifon.cc.mcgill.ca> Date: 22 Mar 93 23:42:43 GMT Sender: news@sifon.cc.mcgill.ca Organization: School of Computer Science, McGill University Lines: 27 Nntp-Posting-Host: binkley.cs.mcgill.ca I would like to set up news for my 386bsd system (Strictly a client where I can read articles locally on my system). I have an NNTPSERVER already willing to provide me with the service, so all I need is to get all the appropriate software. What packages do I need..? From what snooping I've done so far, it looks like I'll need some version of rn with Pnews and Rnmail, the nntp distribution and possibly other things. Thus, I have some rn-version.tar.Z and nntp-version.tar.Z Do I need anything else to get the news client up and running? I seem to be running into multiple mentions of inews, but nntp seems to come with some form of this already... Ideas...? Toodlepip!
